São Paulo, Brazil — June 8, 2026. Oben Group, a global leader in high-performance packaging solutions, announces the signing of an agreement to acquire a new state-of-the-art 12-meter BOPP (biaxially oriented polypropylene) film production line, considered one of the most efficient and productive in the world, to address the Brazilian market. 

Building upon the successful integration of Terphane and Vitopel do Brasil into Oben Group’s operations over the past two years, this new investment addresses the increasing need for additional large-scale manufacturing capacity for the Brazilian market. With an annual production capacity of approximately 94,000 metric tons, the new line will significantly expand the company’s production platform, further strengthening service, flexibility, and supply reliability for customers across Brazil and the Southern Cone.  

This investment reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and strategic growth across the Americas. Equipped with next-generation technology, the new line will increase manufacturing efficiency and support the growing demand for high-quality flexible packaging solutions in the region.

The new line for the Brazilian market is part of Oben Group’s broader global expansion plan, following the announcement made in February 2025 regarding the acquisition of another 12-meter BOPP line for Mexico.
